Functionality[]
Holding the item increases the user's walkspeed by +5. zaihop has unique holding and running animations.
Attacking with this item enters a combo sequence in order: downward right swing, upward left swing, thrust, and a kick. Each attack deals 13.5 damage, hitstun, and weak knockback, while reducing the user's walkspeed by 4.5 and removing their ability to jump during use. The kick has more powerful knockback than the other attacks. Each attack has a different hitbox size than the rest, with the thrust and kick being especially short vertically. The combo has a cooldown of 1 second. If zaihop is unequipped during the combo, the user is stunned for a short period.
zaihop's abilities are unique in that they change if the user holds or taps the ability's keybind.
Spiral/Bullet Hell [E][]
Spiral: Triggered by tapping E. Upon use, the user relentlessly spins their shovel in a circle and moves forward in the direction they are facing, making wind particles. Rapidly deals 1.75 damage per tick and inflicts hitstun. Increases user's defense by +35% during use. User cannot walk or jump normally during use. Can deal a maximum of 63 damage. Has a cooldown of 10 seconds.
Bullet Hell: Triggered by holding E for at least half a second. The user draws a MAC-10 with their left arm and fires 30 bullet projectiles, each dealing 3.25 damage with a slight chance to inflict bleeding. User's walkspeed is reduced by 6 and their ability to jump is removed during use. Can deal a maximum of 97.5 damage, disregarding potential bleed damage. Has a cooldown of 25 seconds that begins as soon as the attack is used.
Home Run/Hamma [R][]
Home Run: Triggered by tapping R. The user briefly flashes white before swinging the shovel, dealing 60 damage with powerful forward and upward knockback. On successful hit, the announcer from Wii Sports says "Home run!" with an accompanying splash effect on the top of the user's screen. User's walkspeed is reduced by 16 during use. Has a cooldown of 25 seconds. If it kills, the victim will get flung into the sky, similar to pro golf or awp's kill effect.
Hamma: Triggered by holding R for at least half a second. The user briefly flashes white while charging up their right arm before slamming down a giant banhammer, dealing 150 damage with powerful knockback. Upon kill, victims disappear, with the Roblox 404 Error art appearing in their place. User's walkspeed is reduced by 17 during use. Has a cooldown of 45 seconds which begins once the weapon is acquired.
Synergy[]
When zaihop is equipped while ultra instinct is active, several changes occur:
- The user's body and accessories are covered in a pink and black checkerboard pattern, resembling those found when a texture is missing in Source games, and plays Home Run!.
- The M1 combo becomes incredibly fast, with minimal cooldown between swings. The combo's cooldown itself is halved, becoming 0.5 seconds.
- Spiraling Spade travels faster and farther.
- Bullet Hell's gun and bullet models are replaced with red text that says "ERROR", resembling those found when a model is missing in Source games. Bullets grow and shrink randomly and stop on contact with walls, though their hitboxes are unaffected, and the bullet's trails are multicolored. Firing sound replaced with loud beeping. Victims play a voiceline saying "Audio Jungle" on each hit. Cooldown is decreased to 10 seconds.
- Hamma now deals infinite (nan) damage. Banhammer model replaces with giant red text that says "ERROR". Victims killed explode into many errors while a corrupted scream sound plays. Victims may sometimes not respawn in a manner similar to using [Content Deleted]. If used during a BOSS or JGN round, Hamma instead deals 256 damage. Cooldown is decreased to 20 seconds.
Tips[]
- zaihop could be considered one of the most versatile melee weapons due to its wide range of abilities, decent damage (if all hits in the M1 Combo land) and fast movement speed.
- Due to its speed increase (on par with stick) upon holding it, allows you to approach enemies or run away from them.
- This also helps you land your M1 combos much easier, allowing you to keep enemies in place and damage them.
- Spiral is useful against groups of enemies or in enclosed spaces, allowing you to consistently deal damage as well as be protected due to the 35% defense increase.
- On the other hand, Bullet Hell can be used to engage targets in medium range, where getting close is suboptimal. Do be wary though as the direction the bullets are fired are dependent on character is facing. Therefore, using shiftlock with zaihop is highly recommended.
- Home Run and Hamma should mostly be used as finishers due to their preparation times prior to their attacks.
- Home Run's small hitbox means that it should be used in tandem with other close-ranged attacks or weapons. You can also use this ability to knock enemies into environmental hazards; however, there are better melee options with faster cooldowns or also ragdoll.
- Hamma, on the other hand has a significantly larger hitbox and being able to instantly kill most players, albeit not hitting at close range. It should be used against mid-ranged enemies. Do be aware of its slow wind-up time as it can give enemies time to react. Like Bullet Hell, shiftlock is recommended due to this also being dependent on where the character is facing.
- If Home Run kills, it is possible to ride the body through the air for mobility, as corpses can be collided with. However, due to the nature of ragdolls, this is inconsistent to perform.
Trivia[]
- This is the first item that allows you to deal infinite damage without the use of admin items, assuming you have ultra instinct equipped.
- This is the second item to have different abilities depending on how long a keybind is held, the first being earth tome.
- The screen when dying to Hamma is the Roblox 404 message displayed when a player tries to view a banned player or an invalid link.
- Zaihop is the third item in item asylum to start with the letter Z, the first being zenith and second being zapper.
- Zaihop's hamma with ultra instinct snergy's infinite damage can cause damage required chargable items having nan instead of the number they need.
- Weirdly, only master spark, ego and cero metralleta cannot work with infinite damage, others work fine.
- Home Run is the only move not affected by ultra instinct.
- Currently, zaihop may randomly disappear from the user's inventory due to a glitch.
