How do I add more emotes in Fortnite? ›

Go to your Fortnite Locker, and then click the Emote edit menu. To populate the first wheel, select up to six emotes. The first emote wheel may have one or two slots empty in game to leave space for any built-in emotes. If your current character doesn't have built in emotes the sections will remain empty.

Select up to 6 emotes to be in your emote wheel. Enter a Fortnite match. Press B (PC), Down Arrow (console) or the Emote button (mobile). Select your desired emote from the emote wheel.

512 Emotes is the cap. Same might go for shaders.

Partners and Affiliates can earn additional emote slots for their Tier 1 subscription product based on the number of sub points they have reached. Check out our Subscriber Emote Guide for more details and information about Subscriber Emotes.

Bots will typically only perform Emotes on Spawn Island, though they can also randomly emote when there is no one nearby and they get an elimination. These include Outfits, Backblings, Harvesting tools, Emotes, and Gliders. Most items that can be purchased in the Item Shop are currently usable by Bots.

If you find yourself unable to access the emote menu, it could be due to a conflict with the control key, potentially with other actions like augments. To address this, navigate to the settings, select controls, and modify the control key designated for opening emotes.

As of February 1, 2024, Fortnite has a grand total of 863 different emotes for players to choose between.

Character Dances are activated by the Right D-Pad. Character Pointing/selectable emote is activated by the Left D-Pad. Characters Sit by tapping the Down D-Pad.

How to unlock and add more emotes in Fornite. If you want to unlock more dancing and emotes for your Fortnite character, you can either buy them in the item shop with V-bucks or earn them by progressing through the Fortnite Battle Pass.
