How much is parking at the Upper Marlboro Courthouse? ›

The Revenue Authority manages 80 surface parking spaces that are adjacent to the Upper Marlboro Garage. This garage accommodates employee parking and public parking is available in the lot. The parking rate is $1.25 per hour with a $6 all-day rate.

Jury Duty Parking

The County offers free parking to the public at the Equestrian Center/Showplace Arena on Water Street south of Route 4. Ride the County's free and frequent shuttle buses to the Courthouse, County Administration Building or other downtown destinations.

If your case is going to be scheduled for argument, within approximately three weeks after the receipt of the appellee's brief (or after the time for appellee to file a brief has expired), you will receive a notice from the Clerk of the possible dates on which your argument may be scheduled.

There is no formal dress code – but you are in a courthouse and you must dress appropriately for the seriousness of the proceedings. Acceptable: Clothing that is neat, clean, comfortable and not revealing.

What is the dress code for jury duty? Out of respect for the Court; please, do not wear jeans, t-shirts, shorts, gym clothes, tank tops or half shirts. If you have a job where uniforms are required, please do not wear the uniform for jury duty.

You must show that excusal is required because of extreme inconvenience, public necessity, or undue hardship. Being excused is intended to be used only for the most serious of situations. It is not a way to avoid jury service because it is inconvenient or you do not want to serve.

Under Maryland law, Washington County jurors are paid the sum of $30.00 for each day in attendance, plus mileage at $. 30/mile from their home to the Courthouse and back.

Failing to appear in court in Maryland is considered a serious violation of the law, and committing this offense can result in a warrant being issued for your arrest, misdemeanor charges, jail time, and fines of up to $1,000.00.

Street-level parking and first-floor garage parking are pay-to-park. You may pay for parking by texting your zone code to 25023 or by using the machines. Zone codes can be found on garage signs and near parking machines.

The most convenient parking spots are along Main Street and in the Wasatch Brew Pub lot at the top of Main Street. Paid parking spaces are $1.50 per hour, 3-hour time limit. Paid parking is enforced from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. daily (no parking from 2 a.m-6 a.m.)

Parking is £3.50 all day on weekends and Bank Holidays. At all other times it is free. The car park is located in the centre of the park, using the driveway from Danson Road. Parking spaces for Blue Badge holders cannot booked in advance.
