Is it possible to get 0% on a test? ›

A 0 score is theoretically possible but would likely result from a violation of the College Board's exam policies, such as cheating or filling out the answer sheet incorrectly. Simply leaving an exam blank or providing incorrect answers would usually result in a score of 1, not 0.

However, a student who submits two wrong answers (that is, all possible wrong answers) will get a 0. In true-false questions, with only one possible wrong answer, choosing the wrong answer gets a 0.

0/1 = 0, whereas, 1/0 is not defined. For example, if zero is to be divided by any number, this means 0 items are to be shared or distributed among the given number of people. So, in this case, there are no items to be shared, hence, no one will get any item. Hence, 0 divided by any divisor gives 0 as the quotient.

Uh, 0/0 doesn't equal infinity, it's UNDEFINED because if 0/0 = x, then x times 0 = 0, but that's true with every number. As for 0^0, same thing - anything to the power of 0 is equal to 1.

When calculating a grade by averaging performance, more extreme values are weighted more heavily than those close to the mean. Because grades typically run from A to F (100 to 50), giving students a zero for a missed assignment significantly affects their grade.

A failing grade is usually not the same as a zero, unless you have been told that all failing grades (Often 60 or 65% or lower) will be counted as zeros.

Note: We must remember that the value of 1 divided by 0 is infinity only in the case of limits. The word infinity signifies the length of the number. In the case of limits, we only assume that the value of limit x tends to something and not equal to something.

As much as we would like to have an answer for "what's 1 divided by 0?" it's sadly impossible to have an answer. The reason, in short, is that whatever we may answer, we will then have to agree that that answer times 0 equals to 1, and that cannot be ​true, because anything times 0 is 0.

Why is 0 0 not zero? ›
