Is Smuckers All Natural Peanut Butter gluten-free? ›

Smucker's fruit spreads, natural peanut butters, fruit syrups, Sugar Free Breakfast Syrup, Pure Maple Syrup, Portion Control Products and ice cream toppings do not contain ingredients derived from gluten; however, these products do not meet our established criteria for a "gluten-free" claim for one or more reasons.

It's easy to enjoy peanut butter on a gluten-free diet, especially if you choose gluten-free-certified brands like Justin's and Peanut Butter & Co. If you're not particularly sensitive to trace gluten, you should be fine with gluten-free labeled traditional brands such as Smuckers or Jif.

Smucker's jams do not contain gluten ingredients and should be safe for those on a gluten-free diet. However, products by Smucker's are not verified as gluten-free according to standards set by the FDA, so those on a strict gluten-free diet should opt for a vertified gluten-free alternative.

About 3,000 jars of chunky Smucker's natural peanut butter have been recalled due to a risk of salmonella contamination.
