- Philip Sanford (@thephilsanford) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina
Last thing about @NC_Governor and @DukeEnergy today… Cooper is offering Duke “assistance,” aka money, which they do not need. Is the state giving money to restaurants and stores that were not able to open today because Duke chose to not turn the power on?
- @KhaosSN@universeodon.com (@KhaosSN_) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina
Hey @DukeEnergy think you can possibly manage to keep the power on when it is 10 degrees outside?
- Thicky Smiley 🍩 (@thickysmiley) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina
Let me cuss @DukeEnergy before my phone dies. You raggedy ******* you. Me and my family will be ok but I’m thinking about all the elderly, disabled and babies. **** y’all.

Big power outage in the Ballantyne area of #clt. Tons of workers heading home. @DukeEnergy Any updates. @wbtradio
- Philip Sanford (@thephilsanford) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina
@CoreyInscoe @DukeEnergy With the money they have coming in from customers and the fact they can set prices as high as they want as a state-sponsored monopoly, they should have the infrastructure for this. I get what you’re saying, but the intentional outages and terrible communication are really bad.
- tired of DA BULL shyt 🐂 #UBM #RIPpops (@DaBullUBM) reported fromStanley, North Carolina
@DukeEnergy why lie & tell ppl their power went out because tree fell on a power line when THE TRUTH IS that you are cutting off sections for 8-10 hours at a time to not overload our local power station! STOP LYING! It was 9 degrees last night & 15 tonight!
- blackwednesday.co (@corriasmith) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina
It’s 6 pm. We have not had power since 8 am. @DukeEnergy I am not paying my next bill. Don’t call me, I’ll call you.
- Olde Ding **** (@HastaLaByeee) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina
@DukeEnergy how cold are you going to let your customers’ houses get before you give us our power back from these “15-30 minute” rolling blackouts? Just wondering. It’s been 2 hours and my house is in the 50-degree range.
- Still The Same Phil (@Philxb) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina
@DukeEnergy I’m now at hour number three. I can see my breath in my house. Turn my power on! Seems to be power all over everywhere else. This is ridiculous.
- jenn.thetrainer 💪🏼 (@JLukey_5) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina

- Thicky Smiley 🍩 (@thickysmiley) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina
I’m super interested in knowing what made them choose certain parts of the city to shut down and why certain parts never lost power. @DukeEnergy
- donna s. scott (@donnachronicles) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina
Hello @DukeEnergy - our house has been w/out full power since 12/11 when Clt Wastewater cut our line; a temp. transformer service unit was placed in our yard. On 12/24 at 7am we lost all power. We have reported 3x, still have not had power restored and wld appreciate an update.
- William Haggerson (@willhaggerson) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina
@DukeEnergy why is a temporary 30-60 minute outage lasting more than 2 hours? Why didn’t Duke announce this would happen BEFORE so we could prepare?
- Matthew Martin (@MattMartinGFT) reported fromLake Wylie, South Carolina
Coldest weekend in like 30-40 years and @DukeEnergy decides to do rolling blackouts on Christmas Eve. Certainly a strategy. My mom and in laws woke up with no power or heat. Have to question if there was really no other option.
- Jim Mitchem 🖤 (@jmitchem) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina
@CLTfoodfight @DukeEnergy Thanks man. It just came back. Looks like we’re in for rolling brownouts. Although ours went out around 5 and just came back on.
- Huntersville Fire (@Huntersville_FD) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina
@wxcrum @DukeEnergy *ALERT* The DUKE sirens sounding for McGuire was an error. There is NO emergency. The weekly siren test turned into a full siren test in error.
- Still The Same Phil (@Philxb) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina
@DukeEnergy My power has been out for almost 2 hours so this is a lie!
- William Haggerson (@willhaggerson) reported fromCharlotte, North Carolina

@DukeEnergy no power in Ohio 45065 any idea on how long?
- Show Me Your Thumbs (@mearn4d10) reported
@ChaosPixieMagic @DukeEnergy If the power is supplied by the landlords account and they have turned it off before the lease term is up, or the agreed move out date, that’s a breach of your lease agreement, likely.
- Kate Rogers (@k8rogers12) reported
I swear my energy bill keeps gettin bigger every month. At this point it looks like I’m paying a second rent or child support… I live in a 2 bedroom small house, well insulated, and I keep most lights off… What ******** @DukeEnergy ?
- Thorin Teague (@ThorinTeague) reported
@ChaosPixieMagic @DukeEnergy Your service... At the place you moved out of? Or in to?
- George Balaz (@Gbalaz) reported
@DukeEnergy is Duke ever going to offer lower time of use charging rates in Indiana to help EV owners? This is a huge feature missing from your service. Thanks for considering. I could also run my pool pump off hours further helping the grid.
- Pixie (@ChaosPixieMagic) reported
@ThorinTeague @DukeEnergy Out of. A week before we were officially supposed to be out.
- matthew drowne (@DocMD17) reported
@DukeEnergy why does your recent email mention only fuel costs and not the company trying to recoup hurricane costs as why you're raising rates? Be honest. You didn't want to see a dip in profit so passing the cost to customers.
- CrippyRob (@CrippyRobUSA) reported
@DukeEnergy @DE_KeithRich You have restored power countless times and it keeps being shut off. @DukeEnergy you mothercuckers better get your ******* act together you ************* pieces of ****! For what you charge, people should never lose power.
