To help you plan your dream Caribbean vacation in Turks and Caicos, here is a rundown of the must-do activities to inspire you to explore this beautiful destination.
Naturally, we know it is the draw of our crystalline seas that attracts visitors to Turks and Caicos. There are several ways to get acquainted with these warm Caribbean waters. Whether you choose to board a catamaran and snorkel the third-largest barrier reef in the world, enjoy a romantic sunset cruise, or take the ferry out to North and Middle Caicos for a day of exploring, you will discover famous beaches, awe-inspiring wetlands, caves, and old Caribbean charm. If you are feeling adventurous, why not learn to dive? After all, where better to take a course than here at one of the Caribbean’s best dive spots. There are several dive operations here to help visitors get to grips with the fundamentals and provide an underwater experience of a lifetime.
Rent a Car and Explore The Islands At Your Own Pace
Now, if you prefer keeping your feet firmly on dry land, renting a car and doing a self-guided island tour is the way to go. Chances are, if you are staying at centrally located Ports of Call, you won’t need a car for the whole week, but having access to a set of wheels for a day or two will allow you to access parts of the island that are a little further afield.
There is no doubt you’ll work up an appetite with all this exploration. When it comes to gastronomic delights, you are in for a real treat here in Turks and Caicos. Naturally, being on an island will mean that seafood is the order of the day here. Every Thursday, the Island Fish Fry, which takes place from 5.30 pm – 9 pm, is a must for locals and tourists alike. Here, you’ll get to sample freshly caught fried fish and other local favorites, including lobster, conch salad, and crab n’ rice. Not only will you get to feast on these Caribbean delights, but you’ll be treated to local entertainment from bands to folkloric storytelling and maypole plaiting; there is so much fun to be had!
Dining Options Galore
When it comes to the rest of the week, you’ll also be spoiled for choice with over 30 restaurants within walking distance of Ports of Call Resort. However, if you are looking to stay closer to home, we also have three wonderful dining options on-site. From our innovative café and deli, Tribe, to Cielo which serves up a delicious Mediterranean menu to casual dining at Skull Rock Mexican Catina, there is something for everyone here. Finally, we know our guests come to Turks and Caicos for a little rest and relaxation too. Thankfully, there is no better spot for this than Grace Bay. You can spend as much time basking under the sun with a co*cktail in hand on a chaise long while overlooking the turquoise waters. If you get a little restless, feel free to enjoy one of our complimentary paddle boards or kayaks for a little bit of an adventure!

Even though you could spend weeks here, Turks and Caicos will easily deliver everything you need for a tropical beach vacay in just three days. The archipelago is made up of 40 cays and islands, but only eight are populated, with Providenciales at the center of the action and where you'll fly into.
Most visitors spend between $992 and $4,556 for a one week trip to Turks and Caicos Islands, with the average being $2,294. This includes sightseeing, local transportation, food, and hotels.
Most of the best places to stay in Turks and Caicos are on Providenciales, the liveliest of the islands. Providenciales is well-known for sublime 12-mile Grace Bay Beach, which is lined with chic resorts, and offers an appealing choice of bars and restaurants.
Generally, it's not advisable to walk at night, especially outside of the central Grace Bay area. Areas such as the Bight and further reaches of the Grace Bay area have increased risk over the main 'Grace Bay Strip'.
Best Times to Visit Turks and Caicos for Lower Prices
The best time to score a deal is during peak hurricane season, from late August to early November. This is when activity and accommodation rates are at their lowest due to a dip in demand, and it's common to see hotels offer special deals and other perks.
Yes.The Turks and Caicos is expensive. However, it's not excessively so when compared to other English-speaking countries in the tropical Atlantic and Caribbean, such as Barbados, Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Cayman Islands.
It's also where you'll find most of the high-end luxury properties and resorts. Kim Kardashian along with her sisters Kylie and Kourtney have reportedly stayed at the Amanyara retreat, on the western shore of Providenciales.
Sandals Resorts International said it is planning to close the Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort indefinitely in 2021 because the Caribbean island's government raised taxes on the property after declaring it would not.
Firearms, ammunition (including stray bullets), and other weapons are not permitted in the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI). TCI authorities strictly enforce all firearms-and-ammunition-related laws.
The Turks and Caicos is an incredible destination and one of the leading tropical vacation spots. Our archipelago offers brilliant turquoise ocean water, a pristine marine environment, and Grace Bay Beach, the best beach in the world!
For most first-time visitors, the best time to visit the Turks and Caicos is February, March, and April. These months offer the best combination of weather, prices, and availability. Late August, September, October, and early November typically have the lowest accommodation and activity rates.
Despite this similarity, however, it does typically cost travelers more money to visit Turks and Caicos. This is because The Bahamas has more amenities for tourists; with additional hotels and resorts, restaurants, and attractions to choose from, it's easier to tailor your vacation to suit your wallet.
If you wish to drive round the Island without stopping you can do this in a day but if you wish to explore it will take you 2 days. T & C best feature is Grace Bay, maybe 1 of the most beautiful beaches in the world and most resorts are either on this beach or within walking distance.
The best way to get around Turks & Caicos is either by rental car or taxi. There is no public transportation on the islands, and as the attractions, restaurants and hotels are spread out, walking is not an option. You can rent a car at the Providenciales International Airport (PLS) on Provo.
