The islands, and by extension, the beaches, of the Caribbean, are some of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. This is in part due to the year-round sunshine, warmth, and the massive variety of scenic locations to visit.

1. The above beach is Baby Beach in Aruba, which is a shallow, manmade lagoon on the southeast end of the island.

The water here is very calm and perfect for snorkeling or for small children. Visible in the photo is a palm roofed shelter with stone supports.

So whether you’re a regular beachgoer or more of a shopper, a vacation in the Caribbean just isn’t quite complete without visiting the beautiful blue or crystal clear waters of the white-sand beaches.
