According to Candystore.com, the most hated, most rejected candy of them all is the venerable Circus Peanuts.
The orange, sponge-like nuggets have returned to lead the worst-candy list after being edged out by candy corn as the "Halloween candy everyone loves to hate."
Also despised, in order, were candy corn, Necco Wafers, Peanut Butter Kisses, wax cola bottles, Mary Janes, Smarties, black licorice, Bit-O-Honey and Tootsie Rolls (seriously?).
Oddly enough, some of the same "offenders" also made thelist of favorite Halloween candy. According to that list, candy corn is No. 8 most popular nationwideand one of the three most desired candies in several states.
Another recent survey claimed that Lemonheads were Louisiana's favorite candy.
The folks at Candystore.com used cauldrons-full of data and sources to brew their list, including looking at bulk candy sales and a dozen lists online from sources as diverse as Bon Appetit, Business Insider, Huffington Post and Mental Floss.
So when you go through your bag of goodies at the end of the exhausting evening of candy-pa-looza, remember to share. Just make sure you share your least favorites.
