As it turns out, the little yellow orb is made with fondant and paprika. Well, an extract made from paprika anyway. Of course, you can't actually taste any of that smoky capsicum flavour, but there's no denying this is a refreshingly natural additive despite its slightly clinical name: colour (160C).

For context, the "How do you eat yours?" slogan isn't new for Cadbury Creme Egg. But it is the first time they've used the slogan in 20 years! Their marketing team shared how they were keen to bring out what's truly different about the brand, which is the eating experience.

Back in 2015, Cadbury products, including the iconic Creme Egg, were banned from being imported into the United States. It all started when Hershey Chocolate Corporation filed a lawsuit alleging that Cadbury copied an already existing Hershey chocolate egg recipe of theirs.

After their visit to the Cadbury HQ in Bournville, the Daily Star were told that the secret to the yellow tinge was a familiar spice ― paprika, or at least, an extract made from it. Of course, you shouldn't be able to taste the ingredient ― it's only just present enough to colour the fondant.

First launched in New Zealand to coincide with the white chocolate Dream bar, they were discontinued in 2010 when production of New Zealand's Creme Eggs was moved back to the UK. In 2018, the white Creme Egg was a promotional item, before being made available on shelves properly in 2023.

A spokesman said the famous recipe had not been altered and that the wording change was simply 'regulatory'. 'The phrase didn't make sense if the pack stated the bar weighs 49g or 230g. ' He added that the company would continue to use the original slogan - introduced in 1928 - in their marketing campaigns.

In its new campaign “Kuchh accha ho jaaye”, Cadbury tries to build on its iconic slogan, “Kuchh meetha ho jaaye” to do just that: Give one more reason to consume a product that is not necessarily considered healthy.

In the US, there are three CADBURY egg flavors, including CADBURY CREME EGGS, caramel eggs and chocolate creme eggs. Each are available in different packs like individual eggs, 4-packs and even 48-count boxes!

Ahead of the taste test, I did some research — and found that there are two subtle differences in the recipes. As Insider's Mary Hanbury previously reported, the only differences between the UK and US versions are the fat content and the amount of cocoa used.

We're told she's unashamedly bold and full of unusual quirks and habits, whether ordering for the whole table in restaurants or inventing her own words to songs at karaoke.
