We are Nestlé

Nestlé is a Swiss global company operating in virtually every country of the world. We believe in mutual respect and are committed to foster gender balance and inclusion across cultures, religions and ethnicities. We have strict policies to ensure respect for human rights and we oppose any form of violence. Around the world, and in Malaysia, our role is to ensure the supply to local communities of high quality, safe and nutritious food and beverages under well trusted brands.

Nestlé in Malaysia

Nestlé has been present in Malaysia since 1912. Through all these years we have contributed to the nourishment of generations of Malaysians and played part in the nation’s building and development, through long-term investments and a constant action and programs to improve the local communities. Today, we operate 12 manufacturing plants employing over 6,000 Malaysian employees. 100% of our products are Halal and we are the largest Halal manufacturer for Nestlé worldwide. Nestlé Malaysia is a syariah-compliant, public listed company in Bursa Malaysia. Our local shareholders include hundreds of small investors, as well as EPF, who is the largest minority shareholder.

Nestlé Malaysia as a Force for Good

In addition to our role in contributing to the nation’s food security and the nutrition of the Rakyat through high quality products delivered under highly trusted brands, we are committed to have a positive impact on the local communities through multiple programs. As an example, Nestlé Malaysia is the largest corporate donor to the Malaysian Red Crescent Society and we are also driving the largest corporate reforestation initiative in Malaysia under Project RELeaf. Our Farmer Connect engagements also support rural communities involved in the planting of our chillis, rice, coffee and most recently, cocoa beans.

Under our Nestlé Cares employee volunteer platform, our volunteers mobilise regularly to support social initiatives, be it the supply to food banks, the preparation of “back-to-school” equipment donations, or the ensuring of access to safe water and sanitation facilities for the benefit of Orang Asli communities.

Our brands also continue to make a difference through their respective programs. The MILO sport promotion activities supports and funds athletes who bring pride to the nation in partnership with the Malaysian Olympic council in a collaboration spanning nearly 70 years. MAGGI is empowering Malaysian women through business and cooking skills development, while NESCAFÉ helps young students establish small businesses, providing valuable livelihood opportunities and experience, among others.
