Review:

I LOVE Alex and Ava the grumpy x sunshine got me obsessed with them. I love how he always protects her even if he only did it “for Josh” in the beginning (we all knew he loved her). The way he was there for her with her asshole of a father and the fact that he ate those disgusting cookies for her, taught her how to swim (so adorable), AND dropped his company for her? Like please? I love him.

He probably was the one who f*cked up most in the series, but he made up for it obviously. I understand why Ava took so long to forgive him too cause honestly it’s hard to forgive but they fit so perfectly together because they are the same just in the optimistic and pessimistic ways which I love. Him and Christian are very similar but Alex closes his feelings off more so than Christian which rightfully so if I watched my whole family being murdered I would too.

This book had the best plot to it and it tied so well together with the way things played out throughout the book it was creative, maybe predictable, but I loved every turn in it. Michael Chen deserves to rot in hell, although I’m very surprised Alex didn’t have him killed in prison, kinda was sad actually. But it was set up for Josh so I don’t blame them for that.

I also love the Thayer girls trying to get Alex to have any sort of emotion what so ever in the beginning it was hilarious. And the part where she was asking him what she wants most in life AHHHH. Can’t get enough of them.

Anyways Alex is my 3rd favorite man I love them all but Christian is more in his emotions than him and Rhys deserves the world. Don’t get me wrong tho Alex and Ava are definitely one of my favorite couples they just compliment each other in a way. This book is my 3rd favorite in the series even tho I love them all. Alex and Ava hold a special place in my heart 🤍

Review:

Rhys Larsen. The one who doesn’t mess up, The one who treats Bridget like the queen she is (literally), and the one who never gave up on her. I love the beginning when they have the trial run and she gets stuck in her dress, hilarious. And Costa Rica DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED AHHH. They way the lady asked Rhys if Bridget was his girlfriend AND THEN THEY CAME BACK FOR HIM TO PROPOSE. I love him so much. My favorite part is the phone call they have when she’s at the bridesmaid party and she snorts and he thinks it’s adorable. Every man in this series calls their girls adorable and I think it’s the cutest thing ever. They also always say “come here” like? yes is that even a question? Sweet and commanding depending on the situation but it’s one of my weaknesses. Like when they were in the park after he graduation and she thought he was going to die she was so worried.

And the “have you ever been in love” scene. I can’t even it’s my favorite scene almost ever. So f*cking good. And the scene where he’s trying to find her after being gone for the day basically. I was with Rhys on why the f*ck the guards didn’t care about where Bridget was. Like hello? Where’s the princess?

I think the plot was a little eh just because I like mysteries and it didn’t have a lot of that in it but it still had a decent plot with over turning the parliament and erhall. Ok but like what is the name erhall even? And the fact that he has two different sons and god knows how many else out there by different women? How did he even get his job or not been blackmailed before? When they appealed the law I was so happy I knew it was coming but still so amazing. And then she teases him like I can date whoever and he’s like the f*ck you will. Love they’re bickering almost the best part of the book. I can’t get over the fact that both her parents died I keep forgetting and then I’m like well f*ck I forgot that happened. And the way he comforts her when she thinks it was her fault god, he’s so protective and caring.

This book is also on the slow burn side of things I’m surprised they kept it together for 2 years before all hell broke lose (in a good way) Rhys is my second favorite man even tho he never messes up, I know I know, but I just love Christian a little bit more than him. He still is the only man who never f*cks up with his girl tho so he’s got that going for him. I love him and Christian’s relationship too like Alex and Josh are definitely my favorite friendship but after them it’s Christian and Rhys.

I love the girls but they don’t bicker as much as the boys do which is how they show affection lol. Also never thought drawing would be attractive, kind of is now. Anyways I also was starting to like Andreas too I like to think Rhys has some sort of family left besides Bridget and I’m glad he has someone in his family who isn’t a totally piece of sh*t. Bridget and Rhys are definitely in the top 5 of my favorite couples and Rhys in the top 5 of book boyfriends 🤍

Review:

Josh and Jules are the most realistic couple in the series. I honestly love them so much with their enemies to lovers trope on of my favorites. Even tho their bickering towards each other seems very mean at times I think deep down they knew that bickering with each other was fun for them no matter what they said. The forced proximity is so amusing the fact that they work at the same clinic is fate, I don’t even care if it’s a coincidence cause it’s not it’s fate. Same thing when he was her doctor at the clinic when Max pushed her down the stairs. He was so protective over Jules and I loved every minute of it. The fact that Josh almost killed max was like insane, I can just see Alex standing watching being like damn tf did Jules do to you, or he’s standing there like ah realizing you got feelings I know that one lol. Anyways I hate max, sorry just had to be said, the whole drama with Magda was confusing but obviously got explained in twisted lies, but max deserved to die pretty sure Christian killed him maybe, but for everything he did to Jules he deserved it. I’m also glad Josh got to beat him up before he died tho, got his anger out on the right target this time.

I also love him and Alex’s relationship and it coming back together the way it did. And I liked how he said we couldn’t just go back to being best friends because you can’t after something like that you have to give it time for it to stop hurting. I especially love how one text from Josh and Alex is like here’s your guy beat him up, be my guest, true friend right there. The talks they had about how Alex feels when he’s with Ava and Josh realizing that he feels that way about Jules is perfect. And Alex opening up throughout all the books more and more I love it especially in the last two books. My favorite part about the whole book is after Josh had just beat up max and Alex and Josh were talking about how Josh is an idiot for not realizing that Jules is the only person that ever told him the truth and the speech that Alex gives Josh is one of my favorites, it shows how he actually cares about Josh and he is that dedicated to making amends with Josh and telling him the truth that he should’ve figured out on his own about Jules.

Jules probably had the most tragic background of all the girls besides Ava. Jules also is so relatable when she talks about never being chosen and never being enough for anyone. And when she can’t quite let Josh in she just can’t give in cause she thinks it’s not real but of course it is. All of the couples in the series are so compatible with each other especially with their family backgrounds, god Jules’s mom, don’t even get me started. I honestly think it was better that Jules never got a chance to say goodbye because I have a feeling she would’ve blamed her debt, Alastair dying, and her being broke again on Jules for some unknown reason. I can’t get over that fact that Josh literally cancelled his New Zealand trip just to go comfort Jules in Ohio, sweetest gesture. THE FACT THAT THEY GO TO NEW ZEALAND TOGETHER AT THE END. Love it so much. And the way he says, “it’s going to be a little softer tonight, ok?” AHHHH I quite literally screamed, so protective even when he’s literally with her.

I honestly don’t know why everyone hates Josh? I get it he f*cked up majorly the second worst f*ck up in the series, but he had a reason for it, even tho it was way too harsh and he could’ve handled it better he had a somewhat right to be mad. Or upset but he should never have lied about forgiving her especially after they had just had sex like that was brutal. Even when he knew that no one has ever picked her not her mom, max, no one. Ok but when he says, “how badly do you want to f*ck me right now” I’m sorry what? How can someone be so bold and say that, honestly if he didn’t say that I think they would’ve f*cked right then and there.

I also love how at the end they actually talked about not getting married yet because they want to work on building their careers and even tho they seem like the most immature couple that makes them the most mature couple. Putting their careers first especially when they’ve worked so hard to get to where they are. And their careers are a little more difficult and time consuming than others.

I can’t imagine a better duo than a lawyer and a doctor. It’s awesome. They just are there to talk with each other like in the library with Tanya’s death, or at the Picnic trying to get Josh to finally move on with Alex, also when Josh finally went to go see his father and Jules was there for him. That’s all the matters just being there for someone and I think that’s what makes them so good together. And the chemistry between them is fantastic. Anyways I love Josh and Jules 🤍

Favorite book of the series. I literally am IN LOVE with Christian and Stella. Christian Harper is as f*cked up as they get but god damn can he be my husband like now? I knew when I met him in twisted games I was going to love him and I loved him even more in twisted hate, he’s just so protective and sweet to Stella like how can someone be that in love with someone, that just doesn’t happen.

Stella is so relatable too like her anxiety, stressing out about everything, being paranoid, couldn’t describe another girl better myself. Their chemistry is off the charts. Even from when they first met they were connected whether Stella knew it or not. I love the fake dating and the post about whether people want to cuddle with mr Unicorn or Christian so funny. I don’t understand why they picked mr unicorn tho cause have they seen Christian? Also I didn’t really care much about butterflies before but now I’m obsessed with them. Stella is who I aspire to be person wise and Christian helps her with becoming her own person throughout the book too.

I also think Stella deals with her emotions on her own most of the time and that’s part of the reason why she feels so hopeless, especially with her family, aren’t they a piece of work. They learn yes but I agree with Christian when he says he can never forgive them for how they treated Stella growing up. How can you not spend time with your child? Just because you want to look good? I have never gotten parents before and I don’t think I ever will until I have children, but I would never put work before my child. I liked when she went off on her parents and told her mother she wasn’t there for her like Maura was. And I love how Christian and Stella defend each other it makes me happy that they see each other flaws and all even from the beginning of their arrangement. Christian sees Stella as she’s having a panic attack about the stalker and Stella sees Christian through his mask about not caring.

I think it’s so funny that Alex and Christian are friends in this and don’t even acknowledge each other at the house warming party until Christian gets annoyed with Josh. Christian knows damn well he’s friends with Rhys and Alex yet Josh is like who tf is this guy? Josh just is trying to be normal yet he’s friends with the coldest guy ever and he can’t even see that Christian is the same person as Alex lol. Jules is hilarious in this book especially at her party I just found it hilarious how she’s like you need some dick in your life like she knows what’s up. And at the beginning when she’s like um hello? You have a boyfriend? Since when? Bridget’s just in eldorra like hi I’m here too thank you. The house warming party is probably my favorite it actually made me lol. We get to see all the couples and see how much they’ve grown after reading about them. Josh saying he likes Jules not as a princess but her own person AHHHH. And Rhys telling Bridget she can do whatever she wants. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Also Alex being Alex and being grossed out with Josh and Jules. We know full damn well that if Ava asked him to kiss her or go full on make out session he would do it in a heart beat. My favorite part is when Christian tries to act like Stella and him are a couple too cause god knows he wants to act like a couple instead of a fake one. And Stella’s like nah they know the truth no need for that here. Like get a hint Stella. But everyone looking at them like uhhh you two ok over there? Cause it seems like you guys got some chemistry but are still in grey territory. I laughed so hard at them all just staring at them. And when they look at each other when the girls are talking on one side of the room and the boys on the other and Jules is like tf. My favorite line is Ava “I’m gonna need Alex to rethink his pda rule” we all are if Stella and Christian didn’t bang it out soon. THE BOYS f*ckING ROASTING CHRISTIAN ABOUT HAVING FEELINGS AFTER SAYING HE DOESNT BELIEVE IN LOVE. They are all like ah finally someone caught feelings you understand now what it’s like to actually have feelings for something other than yourself. And then all like bitch at least I got a girl you got a fake girl. Favorite part of the whole book. And then again when Stella breaks up with Christian they’ll all like Christian got his heartbroken, like they all haven’t been through it before. And him bringing up the fact that Alex and him have chess matches every month and Josh is SHOOK. It was so funny and Alex is like nah you’re my best friend without actually saying Josh is his best friend. Christian’s just glad the conversation isn’t about his love life anymore and Rhys is just enjoying the show. I can imagine half of this book is Rhys enjoying Christian crash and burn and eating popcorn. Christian mentally picturing what it would’ve been like had he had his book before Josh’s lol. And I love how Rhys just knows like nah you’ll be fine back together in no time. So true he know everything I swear.

Anyways the suspense in this book was awesome the whole stalker thing was intense and Magda sh*t. I was shook at Christian’s two speeches about his past and how much he still holds on to it. Ok but like the real question is can I take a month long trip to Italy? That would actually be a dream. Hawaii was the start but Italy the boat? Oh my. I love Christian with my whole heart in that scene. It made me so happy that Christian actually thanked Stella for listening to him too like he didn’t think she would actually listen to him or get what he was telling her. God I love them. It broke my heart when Stella and Christian break up and he starts crying. Like I know Josh cries I don’t think Alex or Rhys did but something about it hit different the fact that Christian was so emotional in that moment was so heartbreaking and he didn’t think that would be the reason she left. “I love you. So f*cking much” broke me.

And we all know after that sh*t went down it was a movie. Kage? I honestly thought he was going to have his own f*cking book turns out he’s just a traitor. Oh well that’s what Dante’s for I guess. And the sh*t Julian pulled off the f*cking rails. Straight out of a horror movie. When Stella tells Christian about her thinking about him when she thought she was going to die. Screamed. And the letters. THE f*ckING LETTERS. If everyone ever wrote me a letter I would scream, literally scream because that’s the most romantic thing ever I swear. The fact that he wrote one everyday from when they were apart. AHHHHHHH. And the last one. “I’m trying butterfly, I’m trying so f*cking hard” god damn marry me please. Also can we point out the fact that he could’ve asked Jules about Stella because she owed him that favor. And he never did it. Because why? He respects Stella that much. And he finally realized he needs to respect her privacy. I get why she was mad she deserved better than that but god he was in so much pain. And when she says “come home to me” lost it.

And the end GOD THE END. Alex and Ava’s wedding? I would pay for that scene like actually pay all writers to write that scene rn. Cause it’s ether most romantic thing in these books. “Am I crying” -Jules “no am I” -Stella “a little bit but it’s ok” -Jules “shhh no one is crying” -Bridget as she’s literally crying her eyes out. I think I would to if I saw that scene cause Stella is right Alex and Ava had the most traumatic past yet they got their happy ending and so did everyone else it was just a cute little ending for all of them. And when christian and Stella look at each other during the wedding I also imagine Rhys and Bridget and Josh and Jules that are next to Alex and Ava staring at each other as well. It’s just a perfect scene. And the little whispers that each couple gives throughout the series. So good. I’m never getting over it. Ever. And then years later when she has her first fashion show and they’ll all cheering for her and Christian smiling. STOPPP. They live in my head rent free. Them spending Christmas together. Their kids. Alex being a dad, Rhys being a dad and trying not to cuss in front of his daughter who by the way is the most mature kid I’ve heard of. And the hospital scene where Ava is offering Christian cookies and he’s like tf and Alex’s is like bro take my girls f*cking cookies, Christians like sigh. And Josh trying to get him to play chess, I’m sorry Josh is smart and all but he’s gotta tell how to read the room. Insane how much they all grew. I love the girls in this series too, they are always their for each other and just imagine being best friends with your college roommates from freshmen year and them being life long best friends and creating lives together with others and having a family and spending holidays together. I loved the end for that reason and so much more. God I love this series so much. Christian and Stella are my absolute favorites. And Christian my favorite man in this series I will never get over him 🤍
