There are several sandy beaches across Lake Michigan, and it is a perfect lake for swimming, water sports, and boating. While Lake Michigan covers most of Wisconsin's east coast, there is one beach along Lake Michigan that is known for having crystal-clear waters, and that is Schoolhouse Beach State Park.
We're talking about the beach at Big Bay State Park in Ashland, Wisconsin. It is located on Madeline Island, the largest of the Apostle Islands. You get truly stunning views of Lake Superior. And wow, this lake might be the bluest body of water you have ever seen.
Lake George in Upstate New York is recognized as the cleanest lake in the U.S., making it a popular destination for tourists. The lake's cleanliness is attributed to being a headwater lake fed by mountain streams and protected by over 90% natural forestland.
Black Oak may not be Wisconsin's biggest lake, but it's certainly one of the state's cleanest. Located right on the Wisconsin-Michigan border “up north”, this lake has crystal clear water that's perfect for swimming.
Clearwater Beach is a beautiful area and a renowned vacation destination. But let's get one thing straight: The water is not clear. More often blue, green or even tea-colored, the water in the Gulf of Mexico and Clearwater Harbor changes depending on the light and the algae in play.
There's a beautiful little hidden beach at Ballintoy (you have to walk up out of the harbour a little to find it), which is great for swimming in the summer.

Beach glass, marbles, old pottery, stoppers, and some of my all-time favorite finds have been gifted by the waves off Grant Park Beach. Not only were there actual garbage dump barges out in the lake, but many old garbage dumps were built high on bluff sides that have since eroded into the water.
The cleanest of the lakes is Skaneateles Lake, which is considered one of the cleanest in the United States and passes to homes unfiltered. There are waterfront restaurants to enjoy its crystalline lake views and designated swimming areas.
