We hope that when you reflect on what you learned in this course, you are amazed by the incredibly wide range of what you know, and are able to do. However, it is important to know that in healthcare, the roles and responsibilities of healthcare workers are clearly defined. In other words, doctors have particular roles and responsibilities for patient's health, as do nurses. Likewise, CNAs have specific roles and limits on what they can and cannot do for a patient. Here is an overview of what CNAs should never do on behalf of patients. Although CNAs are healthcare providers, they are not nurses and should never give drugs or medication to a patient.
