Each person’s situation is unique; that’s why we offer a variety of solutions. Whether you choose self-service or in-person, it’s our goal to give you the education and empowerment you need to achieve your goals. Redstone has a team of educators dedicated to empowering our members (and non-members) to stay ahead of their finances. We offer a number of financial education programs – for youth, students, and adults.

BALANCE
A non-profit credit counseling service that offers free and confidential financial advice from experienced, fully-accredited counselors.

Community Resources
If you’re facing hardship, 211 (in partnership with United Way) can provide you with community resources to help lower monthly expenses. Dial 211 or visit their website to find local assistance.
Redstone Financial Education
Bring the Redstone Financial Education team to your organization or school. Our team would love to bring an in-person class to your group. We offer an array of topics for our youngest of savers, all the way up to adults. You’re never too young, or too old to improve your financial picture. Redstone membership is not required to participate in any other financial education opportunities.
Credit Score Education
Your credit score is used by lenders to decide if they’ll approve you for a credit card or loan, and is an indicator of how likely you are to repay debt. Credit scores are generated using information from your credit report and proprietary scoring models. FICO, used by 90% of top lenders and VantageScore, used by Credit Karma, are two of the top credit score models.
- If you currently have a lending product with Redstone, your FICO score is available for FREE within online banking.
- VantageScore is a credit score jointly developed by the three major credit bureaus and is also available for free, through Credit Karma.
Remember to review your credit report annually to ensure the information is accurate and correct any potential inaccuracies which may impact your credit score. You can get one free credit report each year at annualcreditreport.com.
