RAM Recommendations for Destiny 2
The official recommendations are good for RAM. 6GB is the minimum you should be looking at, and would allow you to run the game fine, but 8GB is much better. More than 8GB is unnecessary for playing Destiny 2, but certainly won't hurt anything.

Lower some of the graphics settings in the game, such as shadow quality and particle effects. Disable V-sync in the game settings. Close any other programs that may be running in the background while you are playing the game. Check if there are any known issues with D2R and your specific graphics card model.
