This is why Punta Cana International Airport has joined a growing list of airports with special spaces designed for nursing moms.

We recently opened a Mother’s Room in Terminal A, called “Sala de Lactancia”, which includes comfortable seating, an end table, a changing table and conveniently placed electrical outlets, away from the hustle and bustle of a busy airport. We all play a significant role in supporting breastfeeding!

At Duty Free Americas, you’ll find duty-free items like liquors and tobacco. Discover an extensive selection of brand-name fragrances, watches, gifts, jewelry and travel-related merchandise. Inside the terminals, you’ll find favored brands such as Victoria’s Secret. For local products, arts, crafts, and souvenirs shopping visit Brisas del Caribe.

The Punta Cana International Airport Cargo Hub is a distribution center from South America to Europe, United States and Canada. The Hub includes infrastructural facilities, 400 m² of cold rooms with temperature from 0ºC to 15ºC for export.

The Cargo Hub’s products in transit are: flowers, fruits, vegetables, seafood, medical equipment, messaging, etc. Contact the Cargo Hub.

IMMIGRATION

To enter the Dominican Republic, a valid passport with two blank pages is required. President of the Dominican Republic issued Executive Order 430-17 which mandates incorporating the tourist card fee of US$10 into the airfare cost. As of April 2018, the Dominican Republic tourist card entry fees are incorporated into airfare.

This means that the fee for entry into the country which was previously paid upon arrival at the airport will now be included in your airline ticket. By Dominican law, there’s also a US$20 departure tax, the cost of which is usually included in your airfare (verify with your carrier). Airport Special Security (CESAC) follows but is not limited to TSA guidelines.

Effective June 30, 2018, new Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements take effect for International flights to the United States where customers are encouraged to place powder-like substances over 12 oz. / 350 mL in their checked bags (Carry-on Baggage Screening).
