Lanikai Beach, Oahu, Hawaii
It’s no secret that Hawaii is a tropical paradise with countless sandy stretches. But few compare to Lanikai (which translates to “Heavenly Ocean”) Beach on the windward coast of Oahu. It’s ranked as one of the most beautiful beaches in the United States and has some of the warmest water, ranging from 77 to 82 degrees.

No matter what time of year you visit Aruba, you can expect water temperatures around 80 degrees. Surfside Beach is a favorite among Oranjestad locals and travelers alike since it offers exciting views of the airport less than two miles away.

Unawatuna Beach, Sri Lanka
Unawatuna Beach is one of the biggest tourist destinations in Sri Lanka. In this South Asian paradise, the warm water stays around 81 degrees in any season!
Best for: Bird-watchers, wildlife enthusiasts, and honeymooners
What to do: Bird-watchers can glimpse about 60 different species, and boat tours will bring you out for whale watching. Like peeping sea creatures? Consider visiting these beaches that have the clearest water.

True to its name, White Beach is covered in sugary sand. It’s also dotted with palm trees, so you can get some relief from the scorching sun without getting wet. That said, we seriously doubt you’ll be able to resist the allure of its warm water (79 to 84 degrees). You’ll definitely want to add these beautiful beaches without sand to your bucket list.
Best for: Budget-minded travelers who want to live it up on vacation
What to do: Be sure to kick back at the beach in the evening to see a jaw-droppingly beautiful sunset.

Ponta Negra, Brazil
Near the city of Natal, the tranquil tides of Ponta Negra rarely, if ever, dip below 79 degrees. That’s good news for travelers keen to jump right into the water in the nearest place to Africa of anywhere in Latin America.
Best for: Anyone looking for a relaxing getaway … with a touch of nightlife
What to do: Laze on the beach all day and soak up the rays. When the sun goes down, hit up a few of the lively bars in the area.

Jumeirah Beach, Dubai, UAE
Jumeirah Beach runs along the coastal area of the city and is one of the most visited beaches in Dubai for good reason. The waters of the Persian Gulf reach a steamy 93 degrees. Even in the winter, the thermometer doesn’t drop below 74 degrees.

Tulum—one of the most popular destinations in Mexico—has a magnificent palm-fringed, white sand beach that’s dotted with open-air hotels and restaurants. And the oh-so-blue water of the Caribbean Sea hovers around 82 degrees throughout the year.

What to do: After you’ve had your fill of salty ocean waves, seek out a freshwater cenoteor rent a bike and ride over to the Tulum ruins. FYI, while you can bring the kids, there’s something distinctly adult about this Yucatán Peninsula gem, so maybe leave the little ones at home.
Where to stay: Barefoot luxury is the name of the game in Tulum. No place does that better (or looks more Instagram-perfect) than Ahau Tulum.

Western Australia is blessed with an abundance of incredible beaches. Turquoise Bay in Cape Range National Park shines just a bit brighter than the rest. Its glimmering turquoise waters are the primary selling point. And they’re not just beautiful to look at—the tides reach 79 degrees during peak season, so they’re a delight to swim in too.

Orient Bay Beach, Saint Martin, Caribbean
The Caribbean island of Saint Martin contains 37 square miles of sandy beaches with clear blue water that stays a balmy 80 degrees year-round, peaking at 88 degrees as August turns into September. Each beach has its own vibe, but glamorous Orient Bay Beach, known as the Saint-Tropez of the Caribbean, offers French flair, people watching, and fabulous hotels and dining spots in addition to the delightfully warm sea waters.
Best for: Vacationers who are all about the beach
What to do: If you tire of lazing in the warm water, try kitesurfing, a popular local activity.
